New Year's Eve 3

We met our other friends, Ellen & Kathy. And then we all went ot a Latin restaurant in Woluwe.

Antonio Barbosa is the owner, and although the place has only been open ten weeks, it was very good, very enjoyable. We especially liked the Butterfly scampi with cuitlacoche (Mexican truffle), and I have to say the Argentinean beef (Argentine filet pûr with sauce of mushroom and chile de arbol (Mexican chili) served with garlic potatoes) was great. We had Chilean white and Argetinean red with our courses, and a wonderful, warm time.

Parking

This is the way the Bruxellois park. On the sidewalk. It's less expensive than building a bigger parking lot.

Daily Life in Brussels

Met my friend Paul (in from London last night). He's stayng at le Chatelaine, in Ixelles. Lovely area, lots of shops and restaurants and bistros and bars.

This was the area, which is maybe more Chatelaine, which I've never heard of as a separate area. But even though it is not in the downtown area, I recommend it as a place to stay.
